Picture Frames

I did not create these picture frames but my wonderful sis-in-law Tara did. I just put the pictures inside. I had to post it though because I LOVE them. Did I mention that I LOVE them?? She did such a great job. These are one of the best gifts I've ever received. I think I'm going to make some more to put throughout our house.

Paper Roses

These were so fun, cheap, and classy cute! The wreath cost $5.00 and the white roses in the glass vase were probably .10 or less. Here is the cost breakdown:
Styrofoam Wreath: $4.99 at Hobby Lobby (I didn't use a 40% off coupon because I didn't have one with me. But you can always print one off online beforehand if you're prepared).
Red Crepe Paper: .99 for one roll (I probably used about 65% of the roll for the wreath).
White Crepe Paper: $1.00 for two rolls (each smaller than the big roll from HL).
I already had a glue gun. So, if you don't have one, it's time to invest! I got mine for about $7.00 at Walmart.

So I started with this white styrofoam wreath from HL. (There were no roses on it when I bought it of course).

I decided to cover the white with red crepe paper. Unfortunately, I had that idea AFTER I had already glued some roses on so there's a chunk of the back that's still white. Oh well. I'll do it right next time.

I also thought they would look pretty in a clear vase as a centerpiece or decoration somewhere. I just kept them in here until I was ready to glue them on the wreath.

I made a few white ones and put them in this pretty square vase.

I love how it looks next to my $2.79 candle holders. (Got those 90% off at HL!)



I just love it on our front door! You really could hang it anywhere though, inside or outside.

Chalkboard!

First I primed the frame and plastic with white primer.


I just bought this poster board frame at Walmart. I used the plastic inside the frame for the chalkboard. Even though it said "WARNING: Do not remove plastic from frame. It could cause damage to the frame." I did it anyway and it turned out great. No damage that I could see.

Then I sprayed the frame with Ivory Krylon.

Finished product; I think I might try wired ribbon. This was all I had at the moment.

Glass Hurricanes

Total cost for this project was $3.00 for each hurricane. I got everything at the dollar store, including the moss and the candles. I just glued the candle stick onto the hurricane and let it dry overnight (upside down). Then I stuck the moss inside and put candles in.

Entertainment Armoire

I have been looking for an armoire for over 6 months on Craigslist. I finally found this beauty and it's just what I've been looking for. The price was right too- $75.00 I loved how this turned out as well!
I primed it, then painted it Polished Pearl by Behr. I was even able to keep the original hardware.

Isaac's Dresser

I purchased this dresser for $5.00 from someone on Craigslist. I primed it first, then painted it Garden Sage from Sherwin Williams. I also switched out the knob on the drawer. I love how it turned out!
